5 Reasons to Have a Flower Bar at Your Bridal Shower in Monmouth County

Why a Flower Bar is The Perfect Addition to Your Celebration

If you are planning a bridal shower in Monmouth County and want an experience that feels elevated, joyful, and memorable, a flower bar is the perfect addition. Flower bars have become one of the most popular bridal shower experiences because they encourage creativity, connection, and beautiful moments your guests will remember long after the celebration ends.

At Fleur de Mer, we specialize in full service flower bar experiences for bridal showers, brunches, and intimate gatherings throughout Monmouth County and the Jersey Shore. Here are five reasons brides love adding a flower bar to their bridal shower.

1. It Creates an Interactive Experience Your Guests Will Love

A flower bar turns your bridal shower into a true experience. Instead of traditional games or structured activities, guests are invited to design their own bouquets using fresh blooms and greenery. It naturally encourages conversation and connection while allowing everyone to participate at their own pace.

Guests of all ages feel comfortable joining in and no floral experience is needed. Our on site florist is there to guide guests, offer design tips, and make the experience enjoyable for everyone.

2. It Acts as Decor, a Photo Backdrop, and a Take Home Favor

A flower bar is visually stunning and serves multiple purposes throughout your event. The display of fresh florals instantly elevates the space and creates a beautiful focal point for your bridal shower.

Many hosts also use the flower bar as a photo backdrop. It becomes a natural place for guests to take photos, snap group shots, and capture memories with the bride. As the event continues, those same flowers transform into custom bouquets for guests to take home, eliminating the need for separate favors.

We also frequently set up flower bars in private residences, backyard celebrations, clubhouses, and rental spaces throughout Monmouth County.

4. Fully Customized to Match Your Bridal Shower Vision

Every Fleur de Mer flower bar is thoughtfully curated to reflect your bridal shower style. We work closely with you to create a custom color palette that complements your invitations, linens, theme, or wedding colors.

We source fresh premium blooms that are made to last, ensuring bouquets look beautiful throughout the event and for days afterward. Whether your style is soft and neutral, coastal inspired, romantic and pastel, or bold and colorful, your flower bar will feel cohesive and intentional.

5. A Florist On Site to Guide and Support Your Guests

What truly sets Fleur de Mer apart is our full service approach. We do not simply deliver flowers and leave. A professional florist is on site for the duration of your flower bar to assist guests, answer questions, and help everyone feel confident creating a bouquet they love.

This hands on support allows you to relax and enjoy your bridal shower knowing every detail is handled and your guests are having a seamless, enjoyable experience.

What areas do you travel to?

We’re based in Monmouth County, NJ and regularly serve events throughout New Jersey. We’re happy to travel to surrounding states like New York, Pennsylvania, and parts of Connecticut for an additional travel fee — just reach out with your location!

Do you offer wrapped bouquets instead of kraft holders?

Yes, we can absolutely provide fully wrapped bouquets instead of kraft holders. Just keep in mind that this option is more labor-intensive and typically requires more blooms and greenery per person to achieve a full, polished look. Because of the added product and prep time involved, wrapped bouquets come with an additional cost — but we’re happy to discuss this option and customize a quote that fits your vision!

Can I customize the flower colors or theme?

Absolutely. We’ll work with your preferred color palette, event vibe, or seasonal theme to create a cohesive and personalized experience.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We know event planning adds up, so we’re happy to offer payment plans. A deposit is due to secure your date and we can work together to find a plan that works best for your budget.

Can I visit your flower shop before booking?

Yes! Visit us at Fleur de Mer, 3316 Sunset Ave. in Ocean Township, NJ — or set up a virtual consult if you’re not local.

How many guests does the flower bar accommodate?

Our standard packages include 200 stems, which is ideal for up to 50 guests using kraft holders (4 stems each) or up to 65 guests with bud vase setups. Additional stems and holders can be added as needed.

Where do your flowers come from?

We source premium blooms from trusted wholesalers who import from Ecuador, Holland, and beyond. During spring and summer, we also partner with local flower farms in New Jersey to keep things fresh, seasonal, and sustainable.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking ASAP as dates move fast, especially in the Spring, Summer & Fall. Last-minute bookings are welcome if we’re available!

Do you need access to water or power?

Nope! Our flower bar is completely self-contained. We just need a flat surface and enough space to set up.

What does it mean that the stems are "unprocessed" in the DIY package?

Unprocessed stems mean the flowers come straight from our wholesaler — they’ll still have extra leaves, thorns, or guard petals that need to be cleaned before use. Don’t worry, we include tools and a printed guide with easy instructions so you can properly trim and prep your blooms before display.

None of these packages quite fit my needs — can I build something custom?

Absolutely! We love getting creative and are happy to build a custom flower bar experience based on your guest count, budget, or event vision. Just reach out through our inquiry form and we’ll work together to come up with something that works beautifully for you.
